When technique is not enough, there are other ways to
unfold.... ... A space to honor the artist and help
performers to take charge, explore, and develop their
creative powers towards their fullest potential.
When you meet your Higher Self, your impulse becomes creative
and creation becomes play.
When you work on a character you are giving birth to another
human being that is part of you, yet is also another person.
He breaths differently than you, moves in a different way than you, talks differently, has
different dreams, hopes, fears and desires. He has his own heart and heartbeat. He has
his own soul, yet that soul is
not separated from yours. You get connected to your character
from your soul to his.
Outside the human body,
there is a world in which ideas are created through images.
This is a non-material
world. All the things that you need in the material world,
including your artist's craft,
can be created in this world of ideas and be
brought to a physical level.
To start the process of
creation, we need to step into the "nothing". But more
important than this, we need
love first.
A good performance never leaves the audience "outside".
Performer, audience, space and play are one.
Every object we
work with on the stage or set is alive.
Imagine that your body is a
musical instrument capable of producing an infinite variation
of vibrations, sounds and music in as many ways as you want to play it. |
